john deere 445 front wheels - MyTractorForum.com - The Friendliest ...If you have old pre 1986 rims the bearings will be different sized. Most JD front rims are symetrical for the reason you mentioned. Mostly so you can put wheel weights on them. Be careful of rims with extra long stems as they may hit the steering/axle parts of the tractor and break off. My 345 for example the rims can be easily reversed. You may have to try it for fit but it isn't a real time consumming project and can easily be reversed. Noise difference 748 to 728 - MyTractorForum.com - The Friendliest ...The newer diesels are quieter/smoother. As for 2 vs. 4 in actual noise levels, there's not a huge difference. however, I think the MiniMax diesels have more of a smooth purr/note than the Kawasaki engines (others that have switched from a 2 to a 4 have also mentioned this). Stop by a dealer and fire them up back to back and see what you (and possibly your wife) think. Interesting question. I personally think the sound of the mower deck is equal if not greater than the engine running, so I'm not sure this will help. But, here is a 2010 x728 at start-up, with advance to full throttle, then back down from the driver's seat:. http://youtu. And here is one stepping through the several throttle positions:. http://youtu. be/PF0tsEVxrwg Thanks for the video, and just so you know it's not that I sold it cause it was noisy, I sold it knowing I needed a different machine for my new yard/house. If I get another x7 it will be gas powered and the newer AWD.
